Dr. Eleni Theodorou graduated from the Department of Kinesiology: Physiotherapy at Semmelweis University in Hungary. She pursued postgraduate studies and graduated from California State University of Chico, specializing in pediatric therapy. During her postgraduate studies, she worked in Rehabilitation Centers in California. In addition to her studies and work, she has attended various training, including learning the Schroth method (scoliosis), evaluating infants, children, and adolescents with standardized and clinical tests, pediatric therapy, intervention and functional rehabilitation.
She has been awarded a full doctoral scholarship (Department of Physiotherapy, University of Nicosia) for her unique idea of evaluating posture and musculoskeletal asymmetries in young football players and for scoliosis screening at private schools in Cyprus. Furthermore, the findings of the three football studies have been presented at the International Conference of Sport Rehabilitation and Traumatology organized by the FIFA Isokinetic Medical Group (2017 and 2018 Camp Nou, 2019 Wembley Stadium), as well as at the conferences of sports medicine in Cyprus (2017) and Greece (2018).
The number of participants of the studies was unique for Cyprus (approximately 1000 children) and with the support and cooperation of C.S.O. (Cyprus Sports Organization), C.F.A. (Cyprus Football Association), PA.S.P. (Pancyprian Footballers Association), the association of Cypriots Football Coaches and private football academies association. In addition, Dr. Eleni Theodorou has collaborated with the football academies of OMONIA and APOEL and evaluating football players of national teams. She also holds the FIFA Medical Diploma.
For the first time in Cyprus, she started and accomplished phase one of school scoliosis screening at private schools of Cyprus. The findings of the first phase of the study have been presented at the pediatric conference in Cyprus (2019). Since 2020, she has been a lecturer at the University of Nicosia.
Dr. Eleni Theodorou has been the founder and head of A.A.A. Kinisi ke Pedi - Therapy & Rehabilitation Center for children and adolescents since 2004.
